Mario currently works in various local educational institutions as a Business Communication and Teacher trainer, after having spent a long time working in many countries around Europe (The UK, Russia, Poland, Germany, Holland, Scandinavia and Austria amongst others ). Since 1993, he has worked as a teacher, University Lecturer, British Council Examiner, translator, interpreter and course coordinator. He also held the position of Senior English Consultant for a number of multinational companies, responsible for drawing up and proofreading contracts, preparing presentations, conferences, meetings and in-house staff training.
He was awarded the honorary title of Ambassador of Culture for the City of Szczecin Poland, for his cultural, musical activities and performances around Europe before deciding to return to Malta, in 2016, his island home after an absence of around 20 years.
Mario graduated in English Literature from The University Of Malta. He also holds a Bachelor’s General Degree in Communication Studies, together with CLIL Methodology, Trinity College IBET, LCCI, and Erasmus+ Trainer qualifications amongst others. Having obtained an MA degree in Film Studies, he is currently working on a PHD in film and publishing academic papers in the field.

Mario also helped set up various important schools in Poland Like Si-School, Go School and Profilingua. He was the secretary for NGO Kamera a Film for Education enterprise from 2011 to 2016.

Apart for a passion for teaching and film, Mario has also actively worked in the field of music and entertainment performing in many countries and at many prestigious festivals.
